Josh Wallsh, M.D.

Dr. Josh Wallsh was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from the University of California, Irvine with degrees in Biology and Mathematics. Subsequently, he completed his medical school training at Albany Medical College.

After medical school Josh completed an internship at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY prior to returning to Albany Medical Center for his ophthalmology residency training.

Dr. Wallsh is interested in both clinical research and medical education with plans to continue these pursuits in years to come. Dr. Wallsh joined Retina Consultants as a vitreo-retinal surgery fellow in July 2021. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his daughter and wife.
